Chain view

The Chain tab of a matter provides an area to record and monitor the matter’s chain progression.

Note

To enable this functionality, ensure your matter template includes the chain view.

Creating the Chain

Within the matter’s chain tab:

1. Select Add Property Above/Below, depending on the position of the chain
2. Title: Enter the property’s address 1. Save
3. Key Contact: Add a key contact to be associated with the chain

Tip

We recommend adding the contact you will most regularly be in communication with regarding the chain’s progression.

3. Notes: Add any extra notes or description regarding the chain. 1. Save
4. Repeat the process above to add as many chains as needed

Tip

Create a split chain by selecting ‘Add Property Above/Below’ within an existing chain.

Managing the Chain

Within the matter’s chain tab:

1. Update a chain’s milestones to record the progression of the transaction
2. Add or amend the notes section to record any additional detail
3. Select the email icon on your Key Contact to create correspondence

Note

Any correspondence sent from the chain tab will be recorded in your Folder.
