Matter overview
Matters have two distinct sections:
- Matter details on the left
- Matter actions on the right
Matter details
Section titled “Matter details”The left hand side of a matter displays information on:
- The matter state
- The matter ITR code
- Pinned custom fields
- Linked matters
- The matter address
- The stakeholders involved in the transaction, categorised by type
- The matter Fee Earner
Matter actions
Section titled “Matter actions”The toolbar at the top right of the matter allows you to:
- Obtain AI Assistance - Get general help with the matter
- Add alarm - Manually add an alarm to the matter
- Add or edit the matter’s sticky note - Add or edit a note which will be pinned to the top of the matter
- Change the matter’s template - Change the template of the matter
- Lock or unlock the matter’s access - Restrict access to the matter to those that belong to the Fee Earner’s team
- Place or remove the matter’s hold - Temporarily pause any alerts for the matter
- Export matter - Export the data and files saved to the matter
Matter tabs
Section titled “Matter tabs”The Tasks tab displays a list of tasks associated with the matter.
Folder
Section titled “Folder”The Folder tab allows you to create, manage and view correspondence related to the transaction. This includes:
- Documents
- Emails
- SMS Messages
- Forms
- Notes
- Phone Calls
The Data tab stores any information collected throughout the transaction.
The chain tab provides an area to record and monitor the matter’s chain progression.
Services
Section titled “Services”The Services tab allows you to create and manage any orders placed with an integrated third party provider.
Time Recording
Section titled “Time Recording”The Time Recording tab allows you to record time spent on the matter.
Accounts
Section titled “Accounts”The Accounts tab provides access to the matter’s client accounting.
